We hold semi-monthly meetings from September to June. 

First Wednesday of the month, business meetings are held starting at 6:15PM at Riverside Golf Course Event Room, 1158 Riverside St, Portland, ME

Third Wednesday of the month, program meetings are also being held at Riverside Golf Course Event room, located below The Club at Riverside starting at 6PM  - Come a little early and share a drink and friendly conversation at the bar upstairs!

​Service Projects

Altrusa is a service organization.  Our signature project is the ABC Literacy Program - from October to May, we read to kindergarten classes and give away brand new FOREVER books to Greater Portland Kindergarten Students. They get to take these books home.  We also donate and prepare monthly dinners for families staying at Ronald MacDonald House. In the Spring and Fall, we help out with gardening at the Barron Center. Come to one of our meetings to find out about more of the service projects that we are involved with. Everyone is welcome to volunteer with us. Altrusa membership is not required.
