Here's what you should know about the 2018 Volunteer of the year!

We were so pleased to award the 14th annual Volunteer of the Year award to Dot Gonyea in recognition of her dedicated volunteer service to Camp Sunshine. She is truly an inspiration!

Dot volunteers an average of 300 hours per year for Camp Sunshine, a retreat for children with life threatening illnesses, and their families. Dot's services cover a broad range of activities, including: working during the week long sessions for families, fundraising, washing dishes, recruiting other volunteers, and persuading other clubs, like her True Fans for Elvis club, to support Camp Sunshine. Dot has been volunteering for Camp Sunshine for 34 years!

Dot was accompanied to the award dinner by her husband Walt and Mike Smith, the organization's Director of Development, who nominated Dot for the award.
