Altrusa International of Portland, Me is a non-profit established in 1929. Our primary mission is advancing Literacy. We distribute ~3000 Brand new FOREVER books to Kindergartners in Portland and Greater Portland schools, we provide annual scholarships, we support Food Insecurity programs like Wayside Food Program and Project FEED, make meals at Ronald McDonald House, and so much more.
